The Roku Streaming video player actully comes in three versions , I just read, the Live Streaming Video Comes in The Roku XD, The RoKu HD, and The Roku XD/S, they are all full Live Video Streaming units with just the specifications changed up a bit for your internal needs of your television set. The Live Streaming video quality to me is all the same in these units, Streaming Live video in HD XD or XD/s is relative to me. That is my own personal opinion though, You should check up on all three of the Live Streaming video units to see which one is right for your taste. I like my streaming Live Video to look crisp clear and Cinema style, so all three of these units do this to a degree The Roku XD goes not play out in 1080p though, so keep this in mind, This and all of the Live Streaming Units have HDMIvideo outlets for HDTV capabilities , that's where I got confused, the other Live Streaming unit the ROKU XD plays in 1080p HD Video and an enhanced remote with instant Replay, so there is a difference, right there, and the top of the line is the ROKU XD/S which has dual band wireless technology and componet video with optical audio outputs , and a USB port for playing stored photos ,music, and videos, so there is the difference in these live video Streaming units. I am sorry if I did not inform you to the other two units available . The Live video streaming units are well worth the price and still cheaper than cable, so you cave money with these three devices and get more from these Live Video Streaming machines.
